Congratulation to Maryam Fashandi and Prof. Sunny Leung for the publication of their recent work entitled, “Sodium Acetate Trihydrate-Chitin Nanowhisker Nanocomposites with Enhanced Phase Change Performance for Thermal Energy Storage” has been published in Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells. This work reports the uses of bio-derived chitin nanowhisker to effectively suppress the super-cooling of sodium acetate trihydrate (SAT). This helps to increase the potential of using (SAT) for thermal energy storage applications.
