A team of Mechanical Engineering professors, Prof. Pouya Rezai, Prof. Siu Ning (Sunny) Leung, and Prof. Nima Tabatabaei, have received a Canada Foundation for Innovation’s (CFI) grant in the amount of $105,000. The John R. Evans Leaders Fund will support the team to acquire state-of-the-art research tools to develop multifunctional miniature devices. This represents an exciting start for the collaboration of three emerging researchers to conduct frontier research that will contribute to the areas of multifunctional and smart materials, biomedical device, as well as thermal and optical imaging.
